• sec level expire to?

From xbit@VERT/XBITBBS to All on Sun Feb 23 05:32:38 2025
In the sec level one setting is Expire To:
A specific level or validation set that users with this security level that expire will be given.

Does this mean if they use all the Time Per Day they have that they will expire to this level until the next day?

No, there are 2 ways a user can expire:
    1. their expiration date has been reached (by default, that's 0/never)
    2. "User Expires When Out-of-time" is set to true (by default, that's false)
and they run out of time

In either case, it's a "permanent" change to their account until the sysop changes/reverses that, if they wish.

These were features used by "pay BBSes", but likely serve no real purpose these days.

Somehow my user expires when out of time was set to true. who knows for how long its been like this. That said, I had a guy mapping out a 30k sectors in trade wars and ran out of time.. well, if you needed that setting tested, it works <g>. Fixed.
