I've bought so much tech gear over the past 40 years that ends up worthless and in a landfill (or my closet, I'm slow to throw out stuff I think I might use again one day), I try to buy new tech only when prices have come down considerably.
My new toy I'm waiting on is a few CM5 boards to go into my DeskPi Super6C that I've managed to score (hence my keeness to get SBBS running on 64 bit arm).
I also have an Radxa X4 coming (Pi sized but N100 processor), which might be SBBS home if arm64 doesnt work out...

I'd hestitated before because of the 10GBase-T switches available were expensive (I wasn't interested in going down the SFP+ route, I wanted to use CAT6(a) cabling) - anyway, MikroTik has a nice 4(+1) port 10GBaseT switch for under $200:

My Internet speed is still just 640/40Mb, but I have to move large files (usually video) between systems often enough that this is a huge time saver. And I'm hoping the lower latency will help with my Samba/SMB share issues (lost lock/unlock requests) that happen about once a day.
